Mary Valley Country Rattler TASTE TOUR

Tours available on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays in conjunction with the Mary Valley Rattler operations

Arriving at the Amamoor train Station guests will witness the steam locomotive turning around the turntable, then it’s all aboard your private bus to AMAMOOR LODGE for your first of several delicious local food tastings for the day.

Travelling on to Kandanga Kitchen you will taste  delectable bites expertly created from local produce just for you.  On the way to Kenilworth, you will pause for an amazing sensory experience at BELBIRD PARK where you can hear the beautiful sounds of the bellbirds echoing throughout the FOREST.

Guests can take the opportunity to relax during the trip ‘over the range’ before a Country Lunch at the Kenilworth Hotel accompanied by  cheeses and spreads from the local Kenilworth Dairies where you can visit after lunch to sample other delights and sweets.

On the trip home, we arrive early at Dagun station participate in the wine tasting on the platform before heading back to the heritage Gympie Station.

Enjoy an exciting steam train ride to the Mary Valley and watch the train turn around on the turntable at Amamoor. Visit the country markets then embark on your TASTE JOURNEY through the Mary Valley.  Returning in the afternoon with wine and cheese tasting in Dagun and a steam train trip back to Gympie.
